I asked a question on receiving antennas to a well known East Coast
contester about what receiving antenna works best at his station.
Simply put, he stated what N2EA did. For success, the more receiving antenna
choices you have, the better off you will be.
Beverages, loops, flags, pennants, low dipoles, and vertical arrays all give
a diverse range of choices.
The however, is, not everyone has the space to play with to come up multiple
rx antenna choices and you have to design a solution that will fit both your
needs but also your budget.
