I usually agree with you, but not this time. I am seriously considering
either a cage or a fan, for real reasons. I'm 82, and Iris wont let me
climb, and I'm limited to something I can hoist on a rope. (already in
place.)
I will shut up if you or someone will point me to good, verifiable design
data. Don't tell me about the ARRL Antenna book, because its half page on
the subject has NO DATA, and was probably written before modeling.
So, it's do-it-yourself time and as usual, this group has sprouted some
interested parties. The phrase "Cage Dipole" has a pattern that is easily
spotted, so use your delete key, if you're irritated.
