To me it really doesn't matter up through 2-meters and is more of a 
personal preference.
My own preference is N but I use them on everything and my feedlines, at 
least to the remote switches are all LMR-600.  From there it still 
varies, but I use LMR or CNT 240 and the dual foil shielded RG-8X. You 
have to be careful with RG numbers and brand names to make sure you get 
what you want as ratings vary widely.   On 75 and 160 I Still have some 
LMR-400 to the slopers but prefer Davis BuryFlex(TM) which I use for 
pigtails and rotator loops at the top of the tower as well.

I've gone to all crimp from the 240 sizes right up through LMR-600.

I've gotten some good ones from RF Parts. IIRC they were about $12-$15 
USD depending on how many you purchase.  YMMV.
