[TowerTalk] telephone poles from the electric co.

Utility poles ,at least in Ohio, are replaced regularly because they rot at 
ground level. Most poles are usable after the pole is cut off a couple feet 
above ground with no problems. I have had several in use for many years. Be 
advised that the older ones are treated with creosote which is a hazards 
chemical.
