Dick et al:

     Whatever connector you choose, consider installing a set onto the 
rotator cable at the bottom of the tower.  (Mine is inside the steel Hoffman 
box with the antenna switch.)  In that way you can bring the controller out 
to the tower and spin the rotator locally while doing antenna installs, etc. 
without having to have someone inside the shack.

     BTW:  I chose the eight-pin trailer connector from The Wireman.
