Sure, I've done that (even with a fairly small lot) because the telescoping 
tower's around the corner from the shack window and there's no way to see it.

Especially handy if you have a remotely controlled motorized tower, to assure 
nobody is standing under it, or worse yet, has their arm through it, when you 
push the button!

This is a slightly different thread from the 'video surveillance of remote
tower'.

I am posing the question, "Has anyone installed a video surveillance system that
permits them to look at towers [and antennas on towers] when their station is
not 'line of sight' from the tower and direct viewing is impossible?
