I have used and installed both as a ham and commercially many
many many miles of different types of coax cable but these
bumps I have never seen.
This sounds like pure crap cable. I´m sure if you would measure
it with a network analyzer you could also see "impedance bumps".
My advice is, "bump it in the trash bin".
