Subject: [TowerTalk] Mystery Vertical

Hi Folks!

I'm trying to identify an antenna.

I have a vertical that is somewhat more than 20 ft high with three traps and
an open air matching coil at the base that is housed in a section of PVC
pipe.

There is an SO-239 socket for attaching a feed line. Just above the feed
point, there is an inverted U-shaped aluminum rod and on at least one of the
traps there is a clamp-on strap that holds up an aluminum rod that goes
parallel to the main vertical element.

Any ideas would be most welcome!

Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
