4 feet down works for me and here water lines need to be deeper than 8
feet.

What do folks living where 4 feet down is marginal (due to freezing), do
with these numbers?

I would not put a water line in here at any depth less than 6 feet.

Is 4 feet deep enough for my tower base if that is what the book on the
tower says?
