Interesting comments about a stub at low impedance output of an amp.
Many years ago, I was the Pacific Area MARS Director in Hawaii.? Our
40 meter BC-610 had a strong 2nd harmonic overriding our 20 meter
operation.
I put a shorted stub at the output of the 40 meter rig, and monitored
the 2nd harmonic levels while driving pins in the coax.? The 2nd harmonic
levels dropped one heck of a lot, enabling 20 meter operation once again.
The BC-610 output, I believe was a link (Lo-Z).
