I don't know who was more surprised when a hawk attacked my motorcycle
helmet as I was riding in one of the forested areas of WA state. I thought
definitely knew I had been "hit". The hawk certainly wasn't able to hook
anything with its talons and bounced off a little bit dazed (according to
another rider who witnessed the attack.) The helmet did have one of the
modern paint designs that could have looked like an animal to the hawk.
It was not an experience I wanted to repeat (neither the hawk, I expect.)
...now back to towers and antennas -- we've killed this topic.
