The frequency and cable construction determine the loss at a given
frequency. The loss in dB is still proportional to the length of the cable.
If you know the loss in dB at the frequency you care about, it's no more
complicated than multiplying by the length ratio.

Don't believe everything you see on the LMR website. They make good cable,
but some of their loss specs are "optimistic," especially at HF. If you
only use their cable, you may be paying a premium for dB that only exists
in their marketing department.
