Jim, My guess is that BX towers were designed the way they are so that we
WON'T climb them. HA! I can appreciate someone wanting something that is
self supporting, but I recall seeing in the old catalog from ROHN that they
were pictured with television antennas on them. Enough said.... - Mike

BX style towers are a PIA (pain in the ankle/foot) to climb. Every time I
have climbed one, I have sworn never again but then another job comes along.
Any tower without a flat to step on is a real pain and the BX style's
X-bracing is no fun even for a quick jaunt up the tower.
