     When I installed my Bencher Skyhawk Yagi (similar in feed to the F12's) 
I wound my own 1:1 balun out of RG-213 coax.  Here's a photo:

It's five turns of coax on a 5 inch OD paint can form.  I used tie wraps to 
hold the turns in place.  And here's how I sealed the end of the coax:

     This balun probably is not the best solution if you're gong to run QRO. 
The coax center insulation will likely soften under high power and allow the 
center conductor, wound n a tight circle, to migrate to the outside of the 
turns and short to the shield.  But for me and my 100W it has worked just 
fine since 2001.
