Subject: Thrust Bearing - again!

Since bearings have been a popular topic lately, I would like to solicit
opinions on a recommended substitute for the Rohn TB3 bearing. Since the
mounting place is made of "Standard Duty, high-grade cast iron", I am
concerned about its deterioration (by rust, etc.) when fully exposed to
ambient weather conditions.

This bearing is manufactured by Peer Bearings, Inc., web page
www.peerbearing.com and their part number is FTJ-211-H-33G. It is also the
thrust bearing of choice by AN Wireless tower company.

Your opinions will be greatly appreciated.

73,

Tom - W4BQF
