If you don't have positive pull down, you should be able to just slide the
top section
out and let the cable go slack.  Has anyone done this?

I have read on here in the past that the US Towers are designed to be

have positive pull down , how in the world i would retract it since
gravity
wouldnt be assisting me ? i was hoping to do the rotor work etc... at
ground
level but unless i can retract it , i dont see how I can.

 Thanks
