Doing a little planning for my new set up. I know it is possible to gin both
10 and 20 ft sections of Rohn 65. I have no interest in putting up 20 ft
sections, However, I do have around 300 ft of 10-ft sections and want to use a
gin pole to put them up. The sections of course weigh around 170 pounds. so it
should be possible to use the standard Rohn, WB0W etc pulley head to do this.
However, some thoughts on using 1/4 inch wall aluminum as the pole? My gut
feeling is that it should be fine, but I want some "expert" advice on this.
Any thoughts?
