I have a 450 foot cable run to my medium prop pitch and it works fine with
the transformer in the shack. For the motor I used three runs of 6 gauge
house wire and for the sensor I used a cable that has two #18 conductors.
For your shorter run I'm sure that you can find 3 conductor Romax and then
use another cable for the sensor.

8A while running; how many amps to start?

I had to locate the 24vdc power supply at the prop pitch for a 250ft and a
700ft long run at one time. The message here is to test with the cable
before installing.

Who makes 5 x conductor rotor cable ? I need 175' for the small PP.
   3 x BIG wires and 2 x small ones.
These small PP's have a com/CW/CCW for the dc motor which sucks 7-8 A .
And 2 x small wires for the
magnetic pulses for the digital readout. Something like 3 x 12 ga's +
2 x 20 ga's would be ideal. It has
to be flexible enough for a crank up. Does it even exist ?
