Hi Guys,

"...I don't solder radials I clamp them together at the base of the vertical
and don't use scrap pieces that need to be joined..."

*********************************************

Here's what I do---for better, or worse!---at each base of my 3-element
inverted "L" phased array for 160-meters: I drive a short copper pipe into
the ground at each base, then attach the radials---six at a time---to the
pipe(s), with a stainless steel automotive hose clamp(s)...

I tin the lead of each radial before securing, too.

I employ 24 readials per "L", in total, with each 1/8-wave long. The wires
are insulated, & simply laid atop the ground...

Needless-to-say, the radials are rolled-up & stowed away at the onset of
grass-harvesting season...which is fast approaching here!
