I run multiple slopers on 75 and 40 mounted on just slightly less than
100' 45 G that also was supporting a TH5 at 100', a 7L C3i 6-meter Yagi
at 115 and a cross boom with a pair of 11L 440s and a pair of 12L 144s.
The configuration has varied over the years, from 3 on each band down
to the current minimum of one on 40 and one on 75, but I have used
something similar to the array shown in the past few issues of the ARRL
Handbook. There is an RF choke wound on 5, 2.4" ferrite cores where the
coax reaches the tower. The performance(directivity and f/b) seems to
vary with conditions, but it has worked well so far. I'd see it as
worth a try. They are simple and inexpensive antennas.

73 and good luck,

Roger (K8RI)
