fIf it's like the one I used to have, oh so many years ago, there is no
connection between the rotator and direction indicator except for
power. Once aligned or "zeroed" they step in sync. IE the rotator
makes a step in one direction and the direction indicator does as well.
It pays to make sure the antenna is pointed the same direction the
indicator says.
