I'm asking for prior art or ideas in a mid-guy service disconnect.
Certainly open to the conclusion such a thing isn't viable. Its not
likely that many people can reach up and grab the middle of their guy
wires, so there likely isn't much experience. Figured it would be a
possibly interesting thing to ponder for the group. There are
professionals here, so I figured if it could be done someone would
know (or freak out and shake their finger).

The problem with the pitched roof where the guy is anchored is that
there is nothing in sight to consider tying off to. This flat roof
where we can reach the guy mid-span, where there is already a break
with a ceramic insulator in it, we have options to tie off there.

Its likely we just have to deal with the hassle and potential expense
of depending on someone else, certainly not worth getting hurt over or
introducing a problem into the guy. If you saw the pics of this mess
you would already be afraid.
