I Ditto Jim's notion     Have  re welded both Rohn  section rungs and crank up 
sections damaged in shipping  and from damage from dis assembly and cable 
failure in crank ups.The only problem would be the metal protection  from the 
lack of any galvanizing ground off  in preparation for the weld joint  Wayne
