I've heard of guys using real thick Teflon cutting board, pieces of oak,
outdoor plywodd which was painted and my favorite...two toilet flanges as a
sandwich with the plate in the middle and held together by a piece of PVC.
I used the last for 10 years at the old station on KLM 6 el Yagis.
For those of you with deep pockets and still wanting to use the TB3 by
Rohn I still have a few of the TB-3s from the old station in great shape for
$105 shipped.
