EZNEC seems to give accurate results and I like the software, however it is
difficult to design yagis without some computer assistance. It is too bad
that there are no plans to add an optimizer to EZNEC. I have never tried
4nec2 and I was not aware that it has an optimizer until this post. I think
I may give it a try!

And it has an optimizer routine, which EZNEC does not, and at Dayton a
few years ago, W7EL said he had no intention to write one.
