Hi Dan,

Thank you so much! My friend will be thrilled. This reflector has always been a
world class resource and it is because of all of you. Thanks again.

George: I have a TX472 and have replaced the cables on it as described on our
club website www.sdxa.org under Articles. I believe your question can be
answered by a verbal description of the cable lift system.
  1. The cable pulleys are mounted on one of two plates.
  2. Plate 1 is on the top of the bottom section 1.
  3. Plate 2 is mounted at the bottom of section 2 and is actually lower than
plate 1 when the tower sections are nested.
  4. The end of the lift cable is connected to a bolt at the left end of plate
2.
  5. I goes vertically to the left side of a pulley on the left end of plate 1.
  6. It turns down to the left side of the only pulley on plate 2.
  7. It goes vertically to the left side of a second pulley on plate 2 which
is mounted at a bend in the plate. The bend in the plate sends the cable out
away from the tower side and to the ground to a winch.
I realize this may sound a bit complicated but if you are looking at the
tower it should be very clear.

Thanks Ken! I am certain that the photos will help. I know someone on this
list has a diagram and hopefully they will offer a copy up. I would like for my
friend to be able to file it away with his manuals etc.

    Thanks again my friend!

If it is anything like the tx-455 it should not be too hard to figure
out. I have lots of photos from my tx-455 install. Maybe they will help.

I was worried about the same issue when I purchased my tower. It was in
sections when I picked it up and the cables were already removed. I figured it
out.

      Hope some photos help.

I have a friend that has a 10 year old HDX-572-MDPL that broke its

has ordered the replacement from US Towers but we are in need of the
re-cabling diagram. Can anyone send it to me or supply me with a link

        Thanks in advance!
