In regard to your boom truss question, you can get some horizontal 
stabilization by employing a four point truss. Rather than anchoring single 
truss wires directly to the mast, place a boom above the antenna such that it 
is mounted to the mast perpendicular to the antenna boom. Now attach truss 
wires from near the end of the antenna boom to each end of the truss support. 


On another note, talk to Mark at Force 12 about a beefier antenna rated for 
greater wind survivability.
