Hello John:

The Comtek/DX Engineering (four ground mounted quarter wavelength elements
in a four square configuration) is significantly better compared to a high
dipole for DX communications

It is always best to confirm your plan first by modeling the high dipole
(not sure how high you have it) vs. phased verticals (assuming you mean a
four square array).

The W7EL EZNEC package is perfect for this comparison modeling project.

Anyone have real-world experience with phased verticals on 40m? Actual
comparisons to high dipole, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Bottom line...was it worth the effort?
