The venerable NBS Tech Note 688

Only for the multi-element yagis. The range measurements for the
2-element do not agree well with later modeling or measurements by
others.
NBS Tech Note 688 has a peculiar history. Although published in 1976,
the original work had been done a decade earlier and never written up.
The full report was published largely at the prompting of the amateur
community.
Tech Note 688 had a huge influence on yagi design when eventually it did
appear, but that was much more due to the name "NBS" than the technical
merits of the work itself. By 1976, yagi design had moved forward 10
years in the outside world, and the delayed publication of this work
from the past actually slowed down the rate of progress into the 1980s.
