Using a Smith Chart is an educational process, but for practicality it
seems to me that using TLW (the free application that comes with the
ARRL Antenna Book) is a simpler solution. It is almost trivial to use.

Been using the SC from the early '60s, but today its all on the PC and uW
instrumentation.
GL and its not as intimidating as you currently feel.
Its rather simple if you had the right person to work with you and show you
the in's and out's.
