I have used Thompson's Water Seal on concrete slabs. It is good stuff, not too pricey, easy to apply (use a garden sprayer), and lasts 2-3 + years before another coat is required even with heavy traffic

Wherever it's applied, water just beads up and either runs off or evaporates.

I should add that I don't use it on my tower footings, but see no reason why you couldn't.

It sounds like you want to seal the tower legs from water intrusion where the legs go into the concrete. Not sure that's really necessary, but if I were to do so I'd build up the junction of steel/concrete with silicone, roofing tar, etc., then seal the rest of the concrete with the Thompson's.

Subject: [TowerTalk] concrete sealant?

Hello Gents,

Does anyone have good suggestions/experience with concrete epoxy or waterproof sealant etc?

I'm wanting to seal the pad top for my tower base. Particularly around the tower legs.

Thanks!

Tom
