GD,

For quite a few years I have been using a 160m coaxial inverted L antenna. CQ
Magazine Aug 84.

Have the vertical section about 60' up and the rest on the horizonal. There
are 14 full size radials.

While the SWR is and has always been fine, lately I have been wondering if the
antenna is "to quiet".

Am thinking of raising the vertical section higher and getting the FP about 10
ft above ground also changing the raidials to above ground.

1. Wonder if anyone has direct knowledge of the coaxial vs a single or
parallel wire inverted L?

2. Would raising the antenna up 10ft be worth the labor?

Thanks in advance for your input.

73, Chuck N7BV
