Just for grins, I calculated the Z of a standard 2 blade NEMA plug (1/4"
wide prongs, 0.06 thick, spaced at 1/2")
It comes out to around 100-130 ohms, depending on what you choose for an epsilon for the plastic. Of course when you connect the coax to the plug (or receptacle), you're forming a sort of tapered impedance transformer (albeit extremely short). _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk |
