Hi Gerry,
An easy way to do this is using some 1/8 alum plate to make passive rings that
nest on top of existing screws going through the tubing.
I believe that dx engineering sells these or something similar as premade
parts
That being said you need to be careful about guying the Titanex alloy. Consult
their product literature. Many of their products were designed to be
freestanding and guying them in the wrong location can actually result in
mechanical failure.

Hello,
I have a vertical made from tubing and need to attach guys to it. The guy
material is small phillystran. One thought is to make some guy rings to go
around the tubing ? The vertical is a old Titanex V160. The tubing goes from 80
mm to 73mm / 73mm to 60mm then 40, 30 22, 18 mm. The total height will be 32 mh
(105 ft). The 80 and 73 mm tubing are 6m long.
Thanks for your input !
