Hi, All: I know the original question was about non-crank-up SS towers. Here is some information on crank-ups: Someplace on the UST Website, I saw the following in a Q&A note, which I cannot locate on their site now: QUESTION : Can a UST tower be guyed? ANSWER : The standard telescoping tower can only be guyed to the top of the bottom section. That does not put extra stress on the lifting cable. Inquiring minds want to know. <grin> 73, Bill, N5TU _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk |
