I have the remains of a spool of 4-conductor with shield that might work.

I'll have to check the gauge of the wires, but they might be 16.

Dan .. I'll let you know, but I don't know how much wire is on that spool.

I'd follow the manufacturers recommendation.

$200 is a pretty small investment considering what you probably have into the entire system already.
