The manual that I mistakenly downloaded was for a 450 XL rotor which is not the same as the 450 A. The 450 A manual directions are quite clear. Thanks especially to TOM, W3RFG for clearing up the matter. -Thanks again to all who replied. - Mike

The instructions for the 450 rotator show a six pin plug for the
control box and a SEVEN pin round connector that attaches to the actual
motor drive unit. The instructions further say NOT to use pin #1 on the
round connector.  Does that mean that pin#1 on both the control box plug and
the round plug are not used?  Does this rotor then just use only 5 wires to
operate?  Am I missing something?  How do the control box plug and the round
connector wire? - Mike
