It should be very possible if you are willing to invest in a little copper.
I have a number of rotators (no Yaesu G-1000) with longer than 400' cable
lengths and they work fine.

Does anyone have any experience with long runs of rotor cable
for a Yaesu G-1000?

I'm planning for a run of 400' and I'm thinking that maybe too long,
even using the heavier cable.
