Has anyone installed or have experience with a Gemtor Series 5000 or 6000
Ladder Safety System installed on a tower like a Rohn 45 or 55? This is a
"Ladder Climber's Safety System" which uses a sleeve (e.g. Gemtor Model
#VW655) on a vertical cable which automatically follows the ascending and
descending movements of a climber on a vertical ladder. The sleeve attaches
to the front safety ring on a whole body harness. If a slip or fall occurs
a locking mechanism engages and limits the fall to a few inches.
It is also called a "vertical wire rope grab".
