Although perhaps not as efficient as the SteppIR, consider a mobile Screwdriver antenna. It should work fine mounted on the balcony railing. Then you can use it on your truck also.

Do some Due Dilengence on the use of elevated SteppIR verticals, with or without the 80 M coil option . When the base is elevated they only require a minimum of two resonant counter poise elevated "radials" . The, up to 33' tall ,fiberglass mast, especially when painted gray is extremely friendly to prying eyes ! The SteppIR website, w/links, has considerable info on their applications. including their manuals.
