Dear OMs
If you full retract the director/s and reflector then it will take
longer switching to forward or reverse directions. The preset
bi-directional setting only moves the tape a few inches and so takes little
time.
Also as previously stated, SteppIR states that there is gain in both
forward and reverse directions when using their bi-directional setting.

## sure, that will work. But if a DIR-DE-DIR combo yields bi-directional
gain, that would be even better. I will have to model it, since nobody
really knows for sure.
