I use it to start stubborn 2 cycle engines. A little squirt int the
carb and normally the engine starts right up. Better than starting
fluid since it does have petroleum.

I've often wondered why WD40 became associated with a rust buster/penetrate.
It does penetrate, but contains no lubricant and evaporates relatively quick
leaving thing as they were before the application. However, it is good for
freeing up small engines that have seized. Pull the plug, squirt in about a
tablespoons worth and let set over night.
Bur, rusted bolts, not so much.
