What do you prefer for your LMR-600 end connectors, female or male or does it make any difference?

N4CC and I recently used male N connectors on both ends of the LMR-600 runs. The copper bulkhead we use for our external ground bus is loaded with Polyphaser and Transitrap devices that come with female connectors on both sides. So, in our case, it was kind of a no-brainer to use male connectors on the shack end of the LMR-600 runs.

On the antenna end, we also used male N connectors with N female barrels that join short lengths of RG-213 to the antenna feeds. This facilitates VNA measurements looking into either direction of the cable without having to hunt down a gender-change jumper cable or adapter in mid air. The barrel is just broken apart for measurements into either the source or load end of the line.
