An old QST article (April 1974) shows how W9RX added a full length 40M aluminum
tubing dipole to a TH6.
You would probably have to dig up the magazine or the article may be available
from the QST archive area on ARRL.org.

Placing the 40M dipole parallel with the boom is the best approach if you can
get it up 6 or 7 feet above the TH-11.
Otherwise you can try to load the boom on 40 meters. You attach the shield to
the center of the boom and then tap the center conductor out on the boom by
using a gamma rod. I don't have the details but perhaps someone on this
reflector knows where to find the article about how to do this.

## Just mount the 40m dipole above the TH-11.....and just a few inches above
where your TH-11 truss terminates on the mast. It doe not have to be 6-7 ft
above the TH-11. 2-3 feet is ample.
