Well maybe the guy selling the LMR is a CB'er running a 10kw Wizard amp on 11 
meters. In that case he may need it LOL

WOW, interesting logic!
Try this idea:  Split xmit power in half and send each half down one of the 
lines.
Then combine the two halves at the far end.
Would you be better off?
And why would doubling the line current and using two transformers make things 
better?
