That's the key (one of the keys :-)). Or some other way to hold one side
immobile while you align, twist, tap, and wrestle the pieces together.
It's worth the effort to mate them together with the long belled ends
fully mated with plenty of glue. The pieces should all be from the same
manufacturer - I've found small differences in dimensions from one to
another.
