If I recall that controller uses a sensor that magnetically locates north.
It is interesting but I am not sure how that works with all of the tower
metal.

I have been using TIC rotators for decades, I currently have 5 installed and
I have never seen potentiometer slippage. I use Green Heron controllers.
There are so many different styles of TIC motors that I cannot begin to
guess what is happening other than perhaps the gear may not be maintaining
contact with the ring though the whole rotation.

Anyone using above combo? Seems an attractive solution to avoid
potentiometer slippage I am seeing on my TIC ring.
