Hi Terry,
What do you plan to use for 36 ft mast? Double random section of aluminum
pipe? Or are you referring to a telescopic mast of some sort?
About 20 years ago I had a 33JR up on a 4-section, 36 ft light duty steel
push-up pole that sat on the ground and attached to the eve of my house at
about 16 ft up. I only extended the pole out to about 32 or 33 ft -
essentially a half wavelength on 20m. I used one set of rope guys and
mounted a TV rotor at the top. It held up to 45 mph winds just fine (no
ice). I still use that same antenna and mast for field day sometimes but
with 3 sets of guys - the lowest set just holds the mast in place while I
push it up - simple one man operation if it's not windy.

stick up 20 ft. unsupported that will hold the antenna?
