That's not necessarily true. I live in a county area with very
favorable tower regulations ... essentially no limit on them other than
FAA considerations. Even so, it requires a building permit to put up a
tower, and an inspection is required prior to pouring the concrete to
verify the size/shape of the hole and the rebar cage.
