Actually, the key word is SHIELDING, and shielding relates to 1) the resistance and 2) the uniformity/density of the shield. The TFE cables being discussed here have two very dense silver-coated copper braid shields, giving them both qualities (and making them a bit of a PITA to prepare for a connector.

I do like Danny's method of soldering to the reducer.
